We represent construction workers and other employees who have been hurt on the job, and help them navigate the compensation process while they focus on healing.
Advocating for you.
Some fights for your rights are won in courthouses; others are won in the court of public opinion. You need a legal team that can think on its feet and deliver both.

Maryanne K. Kaishian is a lifelong New Yorker who began her career as a public defender in Brooklyn. She defended individuals against allegations made against them by the State, ranging from minor violations to the most serious felonies. She was named Senior Policy Counsel for Brooklyn Defender Services, one of the largest indigent defense providers in New York City. Her focus was on police misconduct and the criminalization of young New Yorkers, particularly through so-called gang policing tactics, surveillance, and exposure to the horrors of Rikers Island and other incarceration.
MK began her private practice to bring this same fight against government overreach to civil rights work. Since then, MK has handled a variety of complex civil and criminal representation matters in both State and Federal Court. She has continued to conduct Know Your Rights trainings and provide other support, including defense representation, to young people who have been ensnared by the criminal legal system. She works closely with community organizations and advocates, and believes in connecting individuals with the support they need outside of discrete legal representation.
MK is a member of the New York State Bar and is admitted to practice in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
