Lamor Gordon

Summer Associate

Lamor is a proud Bronx native and a Summer Associate at Kaishian & Mortazavi LLC, where he has been working for three years sine he first began as a 1L intern. Lamor’s time at the Firm has allowed him to grow while working alongside attorneys who are deeply committed to fighting for justice, accountability, and systemic change. Lamor excels at ensuring clients feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout the legal process, including through his instrumental work in planning healing circles and other resources for impacted people. My interest in public integrity and police accountability previously led me to serve in the Public Integrity Bureau at the Bronx District Attorney’s Office, where I contributed to investigations that aimed to hold public officials and members of law enforcement accountable for abuses of power.

As Lamor enters his final year of law school at St. John’s University School of Law, he is more committed than ever to using his legal education and experience to fight for civil rights. He carries with him the perspective of someone who grew up in the Bronx and understands, firsthand, the structural harms caused by policing and incarceration. He is especially passionate about bringing an end to police brutality and fighting for the closure of Rikers Island. He believes that the law can be a powerful tool for community protection and transformation, and upon graduation he intends to use his J.D. to continue dedicating himself to the fight for justice and equity for all.
